How do i get him to talk more and listen to his iPod less?

My boyfriend is great 95% of the time and we are ver happy together. Just one problem, i am really close to throwing his iPod out of a moving vehicle. He listens to it ALL the time. I ust want to talk to him. How do i get him to stop and pay a little more attention to me?
