Garnier made my hair fall out...now what?

I got the Garnier color protect shampoo a couple weeks ago, and since using it I've noticed a definite loss in the amount of hair on my scalp..I've since stopped using it. I want to know if there are any AFFORDABLE organic shampoo & conditioners I can try. I was thinking about the Giovanni brand, or Burts Bees, something like that. Or if I should do the Apple Cider vinegar/water rinse-I've heard it's good for hair growth. Anyway, has anyone else had this issue? What steps do you suggest taking to get my hair back to normal? My hair has never been this thin, yes, I know that it's normal to lose a certain amount of hair, but it's never been this bad. The only thing I've changed in my routine was the shampoo...Plleeeaase help me Dx
