I didn't tip anything!?

I was at a restaurant today in NY. The food was great however the service was unfriendly and ruined the whole experience. I generally would have tipped something in this instance, perhaps 10%, however when they effectively threw the bill at me I decided to not leave anything. Right thing to do..?
