Might anyone have a suggestion for deperssion that isnt already adressed?

my boyfriend was depressed like this because of family problems, and abused the shi* about of alcohol, he went to jail and began studying the bible. It amazes me what the God can do. You may not be religous, and im not either but he really can help you.
