(please see details) Are Christians less lonely than non-believers?

We have all thought about loneliness. It is very popular in many songs, e.g. "Ah look at all the lonely people" from Eleanor RIgby. I sometimes think that loneliness results from the lack of validation from others. We need others to laugh at our jokes, to listen to our stories, to make us feel like we matter. Similarly, caring about others makes us feel less lonely. But, what about Christians. Does that "perfect" relationship they have with God make them feel less lonely? If so, is it real?
